The "Knowledge" Problem

PC gaming is taking off faster than ever before. With that, the rise in customers tackling their own custom built gaming PCs has increased. While it can be "easy" to build your first computer, starting off with a gaming computer build can be a daunting task, and having the proper knowledge is paramount to completing a successful build that will last you many years. Most customers either purchase more or less than they need, often misunderstanding the requirements to run the games they want, ending up with massively overpriced or underperforming units in each case.

The "Knowledge" Solution

Shoreline PC doesn't mess around with gaming units. You'll receive an initial consultation to determine what resolution and refresh rate you're looking to play at (and if you don't know what this means, we'll walk you through it), what top 5 games you're hoping to run, what other tasks you're hoping to accomplish with the PC, and what types of upgradability you expect on the unit. We'll also go over the differences between AMD and Intel and why you may want to pick one over the other. The initial consultation has a $150.00 non-refundable deposit to it. We apply this charge toward your custom build, but acquire the deposit in case you decide to build your own after the consultation.

The initial consultation usually takes about an hour.

After that, we price out the computer, retrieve payment, and get everything ordered. The whole process take around 1 - 1.5 weeks to complete, but will depend on part availability and complexity of the build.

Specifications

CPU: Always an Intel i7 or greater. Ryzen is available as well.
RAM: Minimum 16GB DDR4
OS: Windows 7, Windows 8.1, Windows 10, and Linux Distros available.
HDD: Standard hard drives are a thing of the past. SSD or SSHD are included on every custom build and selected based on overall budget.
GPU: Dedicated 4GB-minimum graphics cards are included to ensure a minimum budget-build performance. Mid-range and enthusiast builds come with much more.
Cooling: Standard Noctua fans included by default. Maintenance-free liquid cooling available for minor cost upgrade.
Wireless: Wifi card upgrades are available upon request for custom build units.
